## Key Points

- Meghan Markle will join Junior MasterChef Australia in 2027 as a mentor to young cooks.
- Filming will take place in Melbourne; this marks the show's return after a six-year break.
- In April 2026, the Duchess was already a guest judge on the adult version of MasterChef Australia.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is set to return to Australian television: according to Endemol Shine Australia, in 2027 she will join the refreshed season of the children's cooking show Junior MasterChef Australia. In the project, she will serve as a special guest and mentor, working side by side with chef and MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow. For the show itself, this marks a return after a six-year hiatus, while the young contestants will have the opportunity to showcase their culinary skills, creativity, and love for cooking.

### Role of Mentor and Return of the Format

According to official information, Meghan will not become a permanent judge, but will join the team as a guest mentor, helping Poh Ling Yeow support the young cooks in the kitchen. The Duchess herself noted that she had a wonderful time with the MasterChef team in April 2026, which is why she immediately agreed to return when offered the chance to work with talented youth. Poh Ling Yeow, in turn, expressed joy at the renewed cooperation and expects unexpected dishes and fun moments in the kitchen from the young participants.

### Filming in Melbourne and Timeline

The shooting process is scheduled for 2027 and will take place in Melbourne; exact production and premiere dates have not yet been announced, but work on the show is expected to last several weeks. This continues the trajectory started in April 2026, when Meghan, during a trip to Australia with Prince Harry, served as a guest judge on the adult MasterChef Australia. Thus, participating in the kids' season will be her second appearance in the Australian culinary franchise in a short period.

### The Duchess's Culinary Track

An interest in culinary themes is not new for Meghan: she loves cooking with her own children and, according to her, will watch with special interest what dishes the young contestants create. Beyond television, the Duchess has developed gastronomic and lifestyle themes in her own Netflix series "With Love, Meghan", which ran for two seasons and received a Christmas special. Previously, in 2016, she also served as a guest judge on the American kids' cooking show Chopped Junior, making the new Australian project a logical continuation of her culinary journey.
