## 🎯 Key Points

- Mikel Arteta has signed a new contract with Arsenal until 2030.
- The manager's base salary increased from £10 million to £15 million a year.
- Last season, the Londoners became English champions for the first time in 20 years.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has officially signed a new long-term contract with the London club, committing his future to the Gunners until at least 2030. The Spanish manager, who has been in charge since December 2019, has been rewarded with significantly improved financial terms reflecting his outstanding contribution to restoring the English giant's former glory on both domestic and European stages.

### Financial Details and New Status

Under the terms of the new agreement, the 44-year-old manager's base salary will increase from £10 million to £15 million per year, inclusive of performance-related bonuses. The club's leadership, represented by co-owners Stan and Josh Kroenke, took this step deliberately to secure long-term stability and protect the project from interest by other top European clubs.

### Sports Achievements and Ambitions

Under Arteta's guidance, Arsenal has transitioned from a struggling side into genuine contenders for every major trophy. Last season, the Londoners claimed the English Premier League title for the first time in 20 years and reached the UEFA Champions League final, where they narrowly lost to PSG. Despite the painful defeat, this achievement only reinforced the determination of both the manager and the club to keep moving forward together.

### Controversial Data

Sports media outlets long circulated varying reports regarding the potential duration of the agreement and the exact salary parameters of the Spanish manager. While some insiders claimed the parties would settle for an interim deal until 2027 or 2028, official sources confirmed an unprecedented long-term contract extending through 2030. Discrepancies also surrounded the bonus structures, but Arsenal's board swiftly cleared up any confusion with an official statement.

### Long-Term Project Prospects

Experts view the contract extension not merely as local news, but as a strategic step toward building a long-term dynasty. Mikel Arteta himself has repeatedly emphasized that current successes are merely the foundation for something truly great, and the potential of the current squad enables expectations of dominance in English and European football for a full decade.
