# Military levy from July 1, 2026: new rules, accounts, and where the money goes

As of July 1, 2026, significant changes have come into force in Ukraine regarding the mechanism for crediting the military levy. Taxpayers who regularly make payments need to urgently familiarize themselves with the new procedure to avoid errors and delays. The State Treasury Service has already opened new budget accounts, and the old details are no longer valid.

### New procedure for crediting funds

According to a notification from the tax service published by RBC-Ukraine, starting in July 2026, all paid funds will be directed to a special fund of the State Budget of Ukraine. The key feature of the new system is the clear earmarking of receipts. Now, money goes exclusively to pay the monetary allowance of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

This mechanism for crediting funds is temporary and will be in effect until December 31, 2026. During this period, control over the targeted use of funds has been strengthened, requiring taxpayers to exercise maximum attention when performing operations.

### Critical importance of checking account details

Due to the change in the financial contour, the State Treasury Service has opened new budget accounts. This means that the old account numbers used previously are no longer relevant. Attempting to transfer funds to outdated details may result in the payment not being credited or being returned.

Experts and tax authorities strongly recommend that citizens check current details before each payment. This is a simple but necessary precaution that guarantees funds will reach the recipient and be accounted for in the military levy system.
