According to official data for January-September 2026, domestic machine builders manufactured and repaired a total of over 1,200 units of various complex mining equipment. In addition, production facilities produced about 1.5 million units of various spare parts and minor components. Among the key achievements of this period are the release of 10 brand-new tunneling and shearer machines, as well as four powerful electric motors critical for deep underground operations.

CEO of DTEK Grids Oleksandr Fomenko stressed that successfully passing the winter load peak requires extremely coordinated and synchronized work of all links — miners, energy workers, repair crews, and machine-building plants. According to him, specialists not only stamp out mass production products but also actively test innovative technical solutions, checking their potential in the harsh realities of real underground production.

### Investment Support and Historical Context

The stability of the coal mining industry is backed by significant financial infusions of private capital. Recall that following the results of the past 2025, investments of Rinat Ахmetov's structures in supporting Ukrainian coal mining amounted to 6.7 billion hryvnias, and for the previous three-year period from 2022 to 2024, this figure exceeded 18 billion hryvnias. These funds were purposefully directed to driving and major repairs of mine workings, technical re-equipment of stopes, and maintaining the stability of the production capacities of the mines.
