# New Night in Crimea: Drones Strike Gas Stations in Dzhankoy and the Chongar Bridge Area

On the night of July 16, occupied Crimea once again became a target for drone strikes. According to the monitoring group "Crimean Wind," confirmed by satellite imagery, fires were recorded in the area of two gas stations in Dzhankoy — at the exit from the city. Additionally, a fire broke out on the road south of the Chongar Bridge.

### What happened in Dzhankoy

Local residents reported around midnight about the overflight of drones, shooting, and explosions. Satellite images published by "Crimean Wind" show fire foci specifically in the area of the gas stations. This indicates that the strikes were pinpointed and targeted at infrastructure objects.

### Fire near the Chongar Bridge

Another fire focus was recorded on the road south of the Chongar Bridge — a key transport hub connecting the peninsula with the mainland. Preliminary data suggests this was either a strike on stationary equipment or a landscape fire caused by falling debris. The exact cause has not yet been established, but the fact of the fire is visually confirmed.

### Context: a series of attacks in recent days

This is not the first impact on Crimea's infrastructure in recent days. On the night of July 14, drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant in Sevastopol. On July 15, Kerch and several districts were left without electricity following a new attack. On the night of July 12, power supply restrictions were introduced in Sevastopol after explosions, and on July 10, the "Moynaki" substation in Yevpatoria was attacked.

All these events indicate systematic pressure on the peninsula's energy and logistics infrastructure. Strikes are carried out regularly, often at night, and are directed at objects critical for the functioning of the occupation administration.
