The Aeromax Group has announced the launch of a new fixed-wing unmanned aerial system — the «A-5 M/L». Capable of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), the aircraft is designed to solve industrial monitoring and inspection tasks for extensive infrastructure objects.

### Technical Specifications and Capabilities

The new development combines the advantages of fixed-wing aerodynamics with the operational convenience of helicopter-type UAVs. Thanks to its VTOL capability, the «A-5 M/L» does not require a runway. This allows the aircraft to be launched from limited areas, which is critical for operations in hard-to-reach regions.

The key parameters of the platform are impressive in terms of performance:

- Maximum takeoff weight reaches 30 kg.

- Flight speed — up to 144 km/h.

- Range — up to 800 km.

- Flight altitude — up to 4,000 meters.

- Payload capacity — up to 5 kg.

Versatility is ensured by the ability to change the payload. Depending on the specific task, operators can equip the system with a high-resolution camera, a thermal imager, or a laser scanner. This makes the aircraft a universal tool for surveying, photo and video shooting, as well as the inspection of linear objects.

### Successful Field Trials

The effectiveness of the new platform was confirmed during pilot industrial trials conducted in the Tyumen region. As part of the test program, the UAV performed a complex of tasks at a real oil production enterprise.

Specifically, the «A-5 M/L» inspected a section of a main pipeline, ensuring data collection on the state of the infrastructure. Aerial photography of the terrain was also conducted. The obtained materials allowed not only to assess the current state of the objects but also to build accurate digital terrain models, which are in demand for planning the construction and operation of industrial networks.
