Amidst a full-scale war that has radically changed the daily lives of Ukrainians, special attention is being paid to education. The heads of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES) and the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQOE) held a meeting to discuss the current session of the National Multisubject Test (NMT) and to outline ways to optimize the university admission procedure.

### High-Level Meeting

The discussion took place on July 23. The head of the MES, Andriy Butenko, met with the Director of UCEQOE, Tetyana Vakulenko. The main topic of the dialogue was the situation with testing, which, under current realities, is taking place under extremely difficult conditions.

Andriy Butenko emphasized that the full-scale war directly affects how children prepare for and take exams. "The procedure must take these realities into account," the minister stated.

### Focus on Frontline Regions

Special attention during the negotiations was paid to the safety and accessibility of testing for students from frontline communities. In these regions, the enemy is intensively shelling civilian infrastructure, creating additional risks and obstacles for organizing the educational process.

By the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to seek solutions that would allow for the optimization of the admission procedure. The list of tasks included improving the organization of the session and creating more flexible conditions for taking exams for all categories of applicants.

### Gratitude to the UCEQOE Team

The Minister expressed his gratitude to Tetyana Vakulenko and the entire center team for their work. "For several years now, they have ensured the conduct of the NMT under extremely difficult conditions," noted Butenko. He emphasized that organizing testing during this period is indeed a great responsibility, requiring professionalism and adaptability.
