The change in leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not be a reason to revise the Alliance's strategy. NATO representatives assured that military cooperation with Kyiv will continue in the same format, despite personnel changes in top positions.

### Strategy remains unchanged

Giovanni Galloforo, advisor to the head of the NATO Military Committee on public relations and strategic communications, stated that the appointment of a new Commander-in-Chief will not lead to changes in the level of interaction between the parties.

"Of course, no changes in military cooperation are foreseen, as rotations in positions occur constantly, and the Alliance's support strategy is clear and unshakable," emphasized the representative of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Galloforo noted that personnel rotations in top military positions are a normal and constant process that should not affect long-term support plans.

### Awaiting the first meeting

At the moment, Giovanni Galloforo has not yet met personally with the new Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Major General Mykhailo Drapata. However, the NATO representative expressed an expectation of a personal meeting in the near future to discuss current security issues.

### New course of the Ukrainian Armed Forces leadership

Today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy officially signed a decree appointing Mykhailo Drapata as Commander-in-Chief. Immediately after the appointment, Acting Minister of Defense Yevhen Hmara held a meeting with the new Commander-in-Chief.

During the conversation, the parties discussed further steps to compel Russia to a long-term peace on Ukraine's terms. This underscores that new appointments are aimed at enhancing command effectiveness and achieving the state's strategic goals.
