Amidst the global arms race, Pyongyang has made a bold move by unveiling its latest multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). Coastal tests demonstrate that North Korea is not merely copying Western models but is developing unique hybrid complexes capable of altering the rules of regional security.

### Technological breakthrough or imitation?

Military experts are focusing on a wheeled launcher capable of firing a wide range of munitions. During the exercises, the system demonstrated versatility: a tactical ballistic missile was launched from one module, while a new 240mm guided artillery rocket was fired from another. It is worth noting that similar claims about creating HIMARS analogues have also come from Russia, where the new "Sarma" system is positioned as a response to Western technologies. It seems the world is moving towards the unification of high-precision artillery concepts, where every player strives for maximum mobility and autonomy.
