A Russian Mi-28 attack helicopter crashed in the Belgorod region of Russia. This was reported by Robert Brovdi, known by the callsign 'Madyar,' the Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces, in his Telegram channel.

The officer described the incident in his characteristic style, noting that the aircraft crashed 'nose-first into the ground.' According to Brovdi, the attack was carried out by fighters from the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) of the 427th Separate Reconnaissance Brigade 'Rarog.' The incident occurred in the area of the settlement of Viazovoye.

To confirm his words, the commander published a video recording. The footage shows a Ukrainian drone hovering over the helicopter and performing a ramming attack, after which the aircraft falls.

### Equipment characteristics

The Mi-28, known by the nickname 'Night Hunter,' is a powerful attack helicopter. This machine is designed to destroy armored vehicles, fortifications, and enemy personnel, as well as to escort assault helicopters.

### New stage in the fight against the shadow fleet

Robert Brovdi linked this event to the general escalation of actions against Russia's logistical chains. Earlier, on the night of July 15, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck tankers of the so-called Russian shadow fleet in the Black Sea for the first time. At that time, 20 ships were hit.

The Commander of the USF stated that 'the count has begun,' pointing out that previously, similar attacks on oil tankers were carried out mainly in the Sea of Azov. According to the latest data, to date, 17 oil tankers, two gas carriers, and one tugboat have been sunk.
