The WTA 250 tournament continues in Iași, Romania, where Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandra Oleynikova demonstrated a powerful performance. In the second round of the competition, the athlete secured a convincing victory over Elena Pridankina, who is competing under a neutral status.

### Total Control of the Match

The second-round encounter was played under the complete dominance of the Ukrainian player. Oleynikova left her opponent no chance for salvation, converting seven break points. The match ended in a swift rout with a score of 6:1, 6:2 in two sets.

### Second Career Quarterfinal

This triumph allowed Oleksandra to reach the quarterfinals of a WTA Tour-level tournament for the second time in her professional career. The first such success occurred in February of this year at the WTA 250 tournament in Cluj-Napoca, where Oleynikova sensationally reached the semifinals.

In the match for a spot in the semifinals, Oleksandra faces a serious test. She is set to battle French player Clara Burel. The Frenchwoman is competing in the Iași tournament for the first time after a one-year hiatus, caused by a torn anterior cruciate ligament during a national team match in April 2025.
