# Olga Stefanishina receives new suspicion: NABU and SAP request preventive measures

Former Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, as well as former Ambassador to the USA, Olga Stefanishina has become a subject of a new criminal case. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine citing informed sources.

According to journalists, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) have presented the politician with a new suspicion. Currently, a hearing is taking place at the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC), where judges are to decide on a preventive measure for her.

Procedural actions are taking place in a closed session. As noted in the report, Olga Stefanishina's defense team filed a motion at the beginning of the hearing to close the court proceedings to the public, and the court accepted the corresponding decision.

### Case Context

Stefanishina, who held high state positions, including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice Prime Minister, is known for her active stance on European integration issues. However, her attention is now focused on legal proceedings. Details of the new charges and the essence of the prosecution's claims remain closed during the hearing due to the court's decision.
