The beach season has officially started in Odesa. After a thorough inspection, local authorities have declared the first 13 beach zones safe for swimming. This decision was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the administration and the military.

### Order on Access to the Coastline

The Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Kiper, signed the corresponding order jointly with the command of the Operational-Tactical Grouping "Odesa". The document grants citizens access to recreational zones on the coast.

The decision was made based on materials from the Special Commission of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (SES), which conducted a detailed survey of the areas. As a result of the inspection, 13 beach zones were found to comply with established safety requirements.

### Safety Standards and Lifeguard Posts

Before allowing visitors, the authorities conducted a comprehensive assessment of conditions on the beaches. The main criteria were:

- Availability of protective shelters for the population;

- Organization of lifeguard posts;

- Compliance with other conditions for the safe stay of visitors.

Oleksandr Kiper emphasized that the list of safe zones is not final. The list may expand as other sections of the coastline undergo corresponding inspections.

### Precautionary Mode

Despite the opening of the beaches, authorities urge citizens to remain vigilant. The statement by the Head of the RSA contains a reminder of the need to pay close attention to air raid alarms and strictly follow the recommendations of rescue services.

### Situation in Other Regions

The situation regarding the beach season in other regions of Ukraine remains tense. In Kyiv, the recommendation of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) not to visit beaches remains in effect. Due to martial law and the threat of mass gatherings, the official summer season in the capital will not be declared this year.

A similar situation is developing in the Mykolaiv region. Due to security risks and the region's proximity to the combat zone, the start of the beach season here is unlikely to take place. However, local authorities do not rule out the possibility of opening individual beaches in the future, considering possible solutions to ensure safety.
