# Palantir Crisis: From Mass Exodus of Engineers to European Boycott and Use in Ukraine

The largest American data analytics company, Palantir Technologies, has found itself at the epicenter of an unprecedented crisis. A combination of hardline political bias, internal scandals, and pressure from investors has caused the company's business model to show cracks. According to the Financial Times, the situation is exacerbated by a mass exodus of key specialists and a growing boycott from European partners.

### Internal Collapse and the "Occult" Video Scandal

The trigger for mass dissatisfaction within the company was a public action by Palantir's Head of Strategic Engagement, Eliano Yunes. He released an AI-generated video into the public domain containing occult symbolism and the alarming slogan "Recon is watching you." This gesture became the last straw for many employees.

The situation is compounded by the fact that Palantir works not only with the military but also with civilian structures, including children's hospitals. Clients in the civilian sector are finding it extremely difficult to explain the logic and "philosophy" behind the management's actions, which undermines trust in the company. As a result, reputational damage is developing, which is already being called a "stigma".

### Political Pressure and Investor Exodus

The crisis has gone beyond corporate ethics and moved into the political sphere. The US Democratic Party, hoping to regain control of the House of Representatives, plans to summon Palantir's leadership to hearings in Congress. An investigation into human rights violations is also being initiated.

The financial consequences are already being felt: the company's stock lost nearly a quarter of its value in 2026. Against this backdrop, pressure from short-sellers, who consider the company overvalued, has intensified. Major institutional investors have begun divesting assets:

    - The Netherlands' largest pension fund, ABP, sold off Palantir stock worth 825 million euros.

    - Norway's sovereign fund demanded an official investigation into the use of the company's software in the combat zone in Gaza.

### European Boycott and Loss of Sovereignty

In Europe, the attitude towards Palantir has become critical. Government bodies in Switzerland, Germany, and France have begun refusing to use the company's software, citing the need to maintain digital sovereignty. In the UK, London Mayor Sadiq Khan blocked a contract with the police worth 50 million pounds sterling.

### Brain Drain: The Main Threat to the Business Model

The most serious long-term threat to Palantir is the loss of human capital. The entire company ecosystem was built on a unique "forward-deployed engineers" model — engineers who work directly at client sites, adapting software to specific tasks.

However, working at Palantir has now become socially dangerous. Engineers complain of harassment, personal life problems, and even threats of physical harm. Against the backdrop of billions of dollars in Silicon Valley investment in artificial intelligence, top specialists are mass-migrating to OpenAI and Anthropic. Analysts note that by 2026, the company has turned into a haven for "Republican tech-bros," which repels neutral professionals.

### Use of Technology in Ukraine

While political disputes are flaring up in the US and Europe, Ukrainian intelligence officers continue to actively use Palantir's developments. In particular, the unique PRISMA system is being used to plan attacks by kamikaze drones deep in Russian territory.

The software allows operators to simultaneously control thousands of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles. AI plays a key role in breaching the Russian air defense system, analyzing huge arrays of data in seconds. Algorithms calculate routes in real-time, forcing drone groups to enter through detected "gaps" in the enemy's defense.

To ensure system security, operators of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) have created several decentralized monitoring centers. This architecture allows for the instantaneous takeover of control of all drones in the air from other nodes in the event of a direct strike on one of the centers.
