# Kharkiv Highway in Kyiv: Partial Traffic Restrictions Due to Roadworks

On Wednesday, July 22, Kyiv drivers will face inconveniences on one of the key arteries of the left bank. On the section of Kharkiv Highway passing through the overpass above the railway tracks, traffic will be partially restricted.

This information was confirmed by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCCA). As clarified by the municipal enterprise "Kyivavtodorost", the measures have been introduced to carry out scheduled repair work on the asphalt concrete pavement.

### Significance of the Highway for the City

Kharkiv Highway plays a critically important role in the transport system of the left bank, connecting the Dniprovskyi and Darnytskyi districts. This route is the main corridor for residents of several large residential areas:

    - Sotsmisto;

    - Stara and Nova Darnytsia;

    - Kharkivskyi residential area;

    - Krasnyi Khutor.

Any changes in the traffic regime here inevitably affect the logistics of thousands of motorists.

### Context of the Repair Campaign

The current works on Kharkiv Highway are part of a large-scale program to update the capital's road infrastructure. It was previously reported that "Kyivavtodor" had planned the repair of numerous roads and bridges this year. Among other significant projects are the partial closure of the Southern Bridge for five months and the restriction of pedestrian traffic on the bridge on Beresteiskyi Avenue until autumn.
