Due to the constant threat from Russian troops, passenger trains have been forced to stop on the outskirts of the city for the third day in a row, failing to reach the destination station. This was stated by the Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Nikolai Kalashnik. The official emphasized that the decision to adjust routes was dictated by the complex security situation and the need to protect passengers' lives. ### Logistics and Security According to the minister, relevant services and officials are currently checking how measures to strengthen the protection of infrastructure objects are being implemented. Kalashnik noted that the issue is not only about the safety of individual objects but also about ensuring the continuous logistics of the state in wartime conditions. "Today this is not only a question of the safety of individual objects, but also the continuous logistics of the state," the minister emphasized in his Telegram channel. ### Systemic attacks on infrastructure Russian troops are systematically striking Ukrainian railway infrastructure and civilian trains, making it impossible for the network to function normally in frontline zones. Several serious incidents have been recorded in the Zaporizhzhia region and neighboring regions over the past week. In particular, on July 18, Russian drones attacked a locomotive and a passenger train in the Zaporizhzhia region. The next day, July 19, the enemy struck a passenger train in the same region with drones again. As a result of the attack, a conductor was injured. In addition, on July 24, a passenger train was hit in the Dnipropetrovsk region. There, an enemy drone attacked the locomotive. Thanks to the timely evacuation, passengers and railway workers were not injured at that time, but the incident once again demonstrated the high level of threat to ground transport. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and assess risks in order to make further decisions regarding the organization of train movements in the high-risk zone.
