The situation in the Ukrainian fuel market remains complex due to ongoing military actions; however, the regulator sees room for maneuver. Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), stated during a meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada that, despite rising costs due to shelling, fuel networks have room to lower prices at gas stations.

### Impact of Shelling on Network Economics

Kyrylenko confirmed that attacks on gas stations, especially in frontline regions, significantly affect the financial stability of fuel companies. Restoring destroyed infrastructure requires significant investment, which inevitably increases operating costs. However, the regulator emphasizes that these factors are not an absolute justification for maintaining high prices.

### How Fuel Prices Are Formed

During meetings with market representatives, the AMCU clarified the details of price formation. Companies explain the difference in fuel costs through logistical factors, specifically the delivery distance to a particular gas station. This is why prices may differ even within the same network in different regions. Nevertheless, the head of the committee noted that market players have the opportunity to reduce fuel costs and should continue to do so.

### Current Price Situation

As of July 7, major gas station networks maintained fuel prices unchanged. At OKKO, WOG, and SOCAR stations, standard A-95 gasoline cost 78.90 UAH per liter, diesel started from 79.90 UAH, and autogas was 41.90 UAH. The lowest prices among major players were offered by Ukrnafta: A-95 was offered there for 73.90 UAH, diesel for 74.90 UAH, and gas for 38.40 UAH.
