# Peskov Refuses to Negotiate with Ukraine: New Accusations and Abramovich's Visit

The Kremlin has officially ruled out the possibility of negotiations for a peaceful end to the war in Ukraine. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary to the Russian leader, stated that at the moment he finds it "difficult to imagine" a format for dialogue with Kyiv. The basis for this statement was the accusation against the Ukrainian side of "terrorist actions".

### Accusations Without Evidence

In his statement, Peskov reiterated the thesis that Ukraine is allegedly doing everything possible to slow down the process of peaceful settlement. However, the Russian side has provided no documentary evidence to support its words. In particular, the strike on a passenger train on the Moscow – Simferopol route was called a "crime of the Kyiv regime," but evidence of Ukraine's involvement in this incident was not made public.

Experts note that such accusations are often used by Russian propaganda to justify the continuation of hostilities. At the same time, no international organization has confirmed the Kremlin's version that Ukraine is responsible for the attack on the train.

### Problems in Occupied Crimea

Separately, Peskov mentioned the work of Russian authorities on solving the problems of fuel supply to the temporarily occupied Crimea. This statement came against the backdrop of reports of a fuel shortage in the region, which, according to Ukrainian sources, is exacerbated by logistical difficulties and sanctions.

### Kyiv's Position: Readiness for Negotiations

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly stated his readiness for direct negotiations, but emphasized that they can only take place outside Russia and Belarus. Last week, he addressed the Russian leader with an open letter, offering to meet personally and discuss the terms for ending the war.

In response, the Kremlin reported that the Ukrainian side allegedly invited a Russian oligarch to Kyiv to deliver a message from Putin. The name of this person was not named, but the media established that it was Roman Abramovich. In an interview with Sky News, Zelenskyy confirmed the meeting with Abramovich, but clarified that he came at the initiative of the Russian side and delivered a message from Putin.

### The True Reason for Abramovich's Visit

A source for RBC-Ukraine reported on the true reason for Abramovich's visit to Kyiv. According to him, the oligarch was sent to the capital of Ukraine to discuss possible channels of communication between the parties, however, specific details of the negotiations remain unknown.

Thus, despite the Kremlin's statements about the impossibility of dialogue, the Ukrainian side continues to look for ways to peacefully resolve the conflict. However, as long as the Russian side is not ready for a constructive conversation, the prospects for negotiations remain hazy.
