Recent events have confirmed the vulnerability of even the largest logistics hubs in the face of military action. As a result of a massive nighttime missile attack by Russia, the finished goods warehouse of "Philip Morris Ukraine" in Kyiv was completely destroyed. However, despite the extensive damage, consumers did not face shortages, and business partners did not experience a halt in deliveries.

### Human Factor and Safety Protocols

The top priority at the moment of the strike was personnel safety. According to official company data, during the air raid alert, all employees were in shelter in strict accordance with safety protocols. This allowed the company to avoid human casualties and preserve the health of its staff, despite the destruction of material assets.

### Investments in Diversification

Business resilience in wartime conditions became possible thanks to a pre-planned strategy. Mikhail Muller, Commercial Director of "Philip Morris in Ukraine," revealed details of the logistics system restructuring in a comment to RBC-Ukraine. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company has invested significant funds in creating a branched network, which now includes 10 of its own warehouses.

Furthermore, distributors cooperating with the manufacturer have also deployed their own warehouse infrastructure. This multi-level model allowed the company to avoid dependence on a single storage point, which became a critically important factor after the loss of the Kyiv facility.

### Operational Reconfiguration of Supply Chains

At present, the company is actively working on changing logistics routes. Within the coming week, it is planned to fully reconfigure the product delivery system to minimize operational risks and eliminate delays.

The company assures that current stock levels at points of sale are sufficient for uninterrupted operations. Consumers and business partners will not feel any disruptions, as the team has promptly activated the logistics network diversification plan, which allowed them to neutralize the consequences of the attack.
