Residents of several regions of Ukraine may face scheduled power outages tomorrow, June 30. Information regarding the introduction of power supply restriction schedules has begun to emerge from local energy companies on social media.

Primarily, restrictions will affect Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts. Preliminary schedules have also been published for Volyn oblast.

### Restriction details and causes

According to official statements, for example from "Khmelnytskoblenergo," these measures are being taken to comply with amendments to NERC Resolution No. 332 (Resolution No. 416 dated 24.03.2026) and in accordance with directives from Ukrenergo.

Industrial enterprises and businesses are expected to face full-scale outages across all five priority groups. For residential consumers, restrictions are expected to be limited to one priority group.

In most regions where schedules have already been published, the duration of a single outage will be one hour. However, in Kirovohrad oblast, the restrictions will be more significant: schedules there involve two-hour outages.

PAO "DTEK" has also published a preliminary outage schedule for Kyiv oblast.

### Expert warnings

Ukraine's power system is under strain due to anomalous heat, which is being observed not only in the country but also across Europe. The company "Yasno" previously warned about the heavy load on the networks and urged citizens to keep their devices charged and to closely monitor messages from energy companies.

Vitaliy Zaychenko, Head of the Board of Ukrenergo, previously noted that during the summer period, outages could last up to five hours. According to him, such a situation is possible when combined with mass shelling of energy infrastructure and temperatures above 30 degrees. Under such conditions, the system will have to be balanced by limiting consumer usage during the evening peak load.
