# Power shift in Crimea: Putin prepares Akhmetov's dismissal and appoints a security official

A major personnel reform is brewing in the occupation administration of Crimea. According to insiders from the partisan movement "ATESH", Vladimir Putin plans to remove Sergey Aksyonov from office, who has been leading the peninsula for over 12 years. The Kremlin is preparing a new candidate to replace the current head, capable of exerting stricter control over the situation.

### Reasons for dismissal: "The good tsar and the bad boyar"

According to sources in "ATESH", the decision to dismiss is dictated by the need to distance themselves from responsibility for the impending humanitarian catastrophe and systemic failures in providing for the region. The Kremlin intends to use the classic scheme of "the good tsar and the bad boyar" to reduce social tension and curb growing public discontent.

Currently, Sergey Aksyonov, realizing that his position is shaky, is panicking. He has launched a frantic but meaningless imitation of activity: holding public reprimands, openly threatening local "deputies", and trying to create an image of total control and a "firm hand" for Moscow.

### Who will become the new head of Crimea?

Partisans report that Aksyonov's dismissal should occur immediately after the September "elections". The list of candidates for this post is extremely short. According to the movement, Vladimir Putin is leaning towards appointing the so-called "Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea" Alexey Dmitriev.

The Kremlin wants to put a security official at the head of the peninsula who can suppress growing discontent. However, it is not excluded that Putin may choose one of the military commanders within his own "Time of Heroes" program.

### Context: Energy collapse and drone strikes

The decision to change power is being made against the backdrop of a critical situation in the region. Earlier, the occupation authorities in Crimea frightened the population with the possibility of an accident in the entire power system. Moreover, Ukrainian drones have paralyzed the enemy's main logistical artery on the peninsula, which exacerbates problems with supplies and life support.
