Russian leadership has stated its intention to increase the intensity of attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. This was announced by Vladimir Putin while commenting on the situation regarding shelling of Russian cities. According to him, such actions are a systematic response to the actions of the Ukrainian side.

### The goal of escalation is to reduce the enemy's motivation

During his speech, Putin emphasized that the strikes will be aimed at discouraging Kyiv from attacking civilian objects on Russian territory. He stated that Moscow will respond "appropriately" and will continue to increase pressure on the enemy's infrastructure.

"We must — and this is the next task — respond to them appropriately. And we are doing this, and we will increase our strikes on the enemy's infrastructure so as to discourage them from attacking our civilian objects," TASS quotes the Russian leader.

### Damage assessment and restoration

Separately, Putin noted that damaged facilities in Russia are being restored in a short period of time and do not create serious problems for the country. According to him, Russian infrastructure is capable of quickly compensating for the consequences of the strikes.

"Everything is being restored quickly with us, there are no problems here. They will not be able to create serious problems for us," he said.

RBC-Ukraine reports that this information was published by the propaganda agency TASS. The report also notes that Putin previously stated the development of a satellite system that, in the future, will allow the Russian military to control heavy unmanned aerial vehicles.
