# Rain and thunderstorms: meteorologist warns about the weather in Ukraine on June 16

Mid-June in Ukraine continues to surprise with its variability. If a few days ago the country was enjoying warmth, now meteorologists are warning again about wet weather. However, despite the rain, the air temperature will remain comfortable for most regions.

### Moist air mass and thunderstorms

According to the forecast by meteorologist and synoptic Natalka Didenko, on Tuesday, June 16, a moist air mass will prevail throughout the country. This means that short-term rains with thunderstorms are expected almost everywhere. The expert notes that mid-June this year has been generous with precipitation, but also with warmth and freshness.

The precipitation map for June 16, published by the synoptic on Facebook, shows that rain will not retreat from any region. Residents of the western and northern regions should be especially vigilant, where stronger wind gusts are possible — up to 12–14 meters per second.

### Weather in Kyiv: rain with thunderstorm

In the capital of Ukraine, the situation will be similar to the national one. On June 16, Kyiv will experience rain, locally with thunderstorms. The air temperature in the city will fluctuate between +18 and +20 degrees Celsius. According to Didenko, the wind will be "spirited" and gusty, predominantly from the west.

### What to expect in the coming weekend?

The synoptic also shared a forecast for the upcoming weekend, although details have not yet been revealed. However, it can already be said that the weather in Ukraine remains unstable, and residents should be prepared for sudden changes.
