# Ramik Gadzhiev: 'I believe in the club 100%' — 'Kharkiv' midfielder on recovering from injury and ambitions for European competitions

In the run-up to the new season, FC Kharkiv presented its updated brand and spoke with the press. Midfielder Ramik Gadzhiev attracted special attention from RBC-Ukraine journalists. For the player, this season has been pivotal: after a serious injury sustained back in September of last year, he was only able to return to the pitch by the end of the season. Now, Gadzhiev has fully recovered and is ready for new challenges.

### Return to action and physical fitness

The injury that kept the footballer out of the game for several months was a serious test for him. According to Gadzhiev himself, returning to the pitch at the end of the season closed an important chapter. 'For me, this was an unfinished business. Morally, I felt much better after this,' the player admitted. During the period of forced rest, he did not waste time: he worked on his recovery, focused on his injured leg, and built up strength. Now, the midfielder is confident that quality preparation during the pre-season will allow him to reach a new level.

### Ambitions: European competitions as a goal

There is already talk surrounding FC Kharkiv that the team could become one of the contenders for a spot in the European qualification zone. Gadzhiev does not consider these expectations premature. 'I can say that I believe in our club and our team 100%,' the footballer stated. He emphasized that the team will play for the badge, the fans, and their hometown. In the player's opinion, the result is a complex combination of factors, but the main thing is honesty with oneself and giving 100%. 'Why play if you consider fourth place the norm? We will all be focused on the highest positions,' Gadzhiev concluded.

### Camps: a test of endurance

Upcoming training camps are always a stress test for the body. Gadzhiev views them as an integral part of the process, without which it is impossible to lay the foundation for the entire season. The most difficult moment for him is the final stage of the camps, when physical fatigue is compounded by homesickness and longing for family. As for rumors about critical loads where players lose consciousness or experience nausea, Gadzhiev treated them with a touch of irony. He admitted that the loads are indeed high, but personally has not encountered such extreme cases. 'Well, for me to be directly nauseous or lose consciousness — no. Maybe it will happen now, we'll see,' the midfielder joked.

### Squad reinforcement

FC Kharkiv is not resting on its laurels and is conducting an active transfer campaign. The next major signing was Alexander Yatsyk, who joined the team from Kyiv's Dynamo for a significant sum. This reinforcement, along with the return of key players to fitness, speaks of the club's serious plans for the upcoming championship.
