# RDK Reports on Winter Campaign: 9 km² Cleared, 80 Eliminated, and 24 POWs on the Zaporizhzhia Front

The Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has revealed details of the combat activities of fighters from the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) during the winter-spring period. The report covers events that took place in the winter months of 2025–2026 on the Zaporizhzhia front.

### Mission and Result: Stabilizing the Front

According to obtained information, RVC fighters were given a strategically important task — to halt the advance of the Russian Armed Forces on a specific section of the defense line. Executing this mission required months of continuous combat operations and active assault actions.

The Corps itself summarized the results of this campaign, presenting dry figures that speak to the significant success of the operation:

- Successfully cleared an area of 9 square kilometers from the enemy.

- 80 Russian military personnel were eliminated during combat engagements.

- 24 Russian fighters surrendered and were taken prisoner.

"The entrusted section of the defense line has been stabilized," the RVC press service emphasized while commenting on the operation's results.

### Chronicle Through the Eyes of Defenders

Corps soldiers also presented the public with an extensive report video. It compiles a complete chronicle of the winter-spring campaign, filmed directly by the participants. The footage shows preparation stages, assault actions, and the life of the unit in field conditions.

It is worth noting that the RVC is conducting combat operations in the Zaporizhzhia region as part of the "Timur Special Unit," which reports directly to the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

### Context: Staging and Deceptive Maneuvers

This report comes against the backdrop of other loud statements from Ukrainian intelligence. Earlier, media reported that the GUR confirmed the staging of the death of RVC leader Denis Kapustin. Following these admissions, Russian authorities once again issued a wanted notice for him. Ukrainian intelligence even demonstrated exactly how this staging was carried out and revealed details on how many resources were lured from the enemy using the fake news of the commander's "death."

Additionally, it recently became known about another successful operation: GUR fighters managed to deceive elite Russian paratroopers and lure them into a prepared trap, which also testifies to the high effectiveness of the reconnaissance-sabotage work of special units.
