The anticipation surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI continues to be marked by major incidents and leaks. This time, the Cyberleek hacker group has issued an ultimatum, claiming to possess a playable test build of the game weighing over 200 gigabytes. Such statements have instantly stirred the global gaming community, forcing gamers to consider expanding free storage space on their consoles and personal computers long before the project's official release. ### Scale of the Game World and System Requirements The scale of Rockstar Games' new creation is truly staggering to analysts and insiders. According to preliminary data, the virtual world of Leonida state and the iconic Vice City is roughly twice the size of the previous game's map. For comparison, the updated edition of GTA 5 on PlayStation 5 takes up about 95 GB, while the PC version requires around 105 GB. Surpassing the 200 GB mark will pose a serious challenge for owners of standard drives, although the gaming industry has already encountered similar sizes with massive shooters like Call of Duty. ### Hacker Ultimatum and $30 Million Blackmail The main threat from the Cyberleek group involves blackmailing the developers and the public. Hackers openly stated they would leak the giant test build if their proprietary cryptocurrency meme coin reaches a market capitalization of 30 million dollars. Such extortion methods compromise the security of Rockstar Games' intellectual property and create a tense atmosphere surrounding the marketing campaign of the long-awaited blockbuster. Gaming industry experts urge treating these claims with a degree of skepticism, as internal developer builds traditionally weigh much more than final versions due to debugging tools and uncompressed textures. ### Contradictory Data It is worth noting certain contradictions and skepticism among technical specialists regarding the actual weight of the game at release. On one hand, hackers insist on 200 GB and back up their words with leak threats. On the other hand, professional developers remind us that prior to final release, studios always perform deep optimization and compression of game resources to reduce the final distribution size. Nevertheless, Rockstar Games has already planned mechanisms to reduce infrastructure load by announcing the start of pre-loading on November 12, 2026, exactly one week before the official release scheduled for November 19, 2026. ### Consequences for the Industry and Players Regardless of whether the hackers' threats materialize or not, the situation surrounding GTA 6 highlights the vulnerability of major gaming publishers to cybercriminals and insiders. Gamers in any case should proactively consider purchasing additional solid-state drives (SSDs), as the trend toward increasing sizes of modern video games is becoming an inevitable norm of technological progress. ## ❓ FAQ ### Q: What is the claimed size of the GTA 6 test build according to hackers? **A:** The Cyberleek hacker group claims the working build of the game exceeds 200 gigabytes. ### Q: What are the hackers demanding in exchange for leaking the game materials? **A:** The hackers demand that their cryptocurrency meme coin reach a market capitalization of 30 million dollars. ### Q: When do pre-loading and the official release of GTA 6 take place? **A:** Pre-loading starts on November 12, 2026, and the official release is scheduled for November 19, 2026.
