At one of the key border crossing points with Moldova — "Mogilev-Podolsky — Otaci" — repair work will begin today, July 13, which may lead to a temporary suspension of traffic. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing the State Border Guard Service.

The repair work is scheduled on the Moldovan side of the border crossing and will start at 12:00. Restrictions on vehicle passage may remain in effect until the repair activities are fully completed. Exact completion dates are not yet specified, so drivers are advised to take this information into account when planning their trips.

The State Border Guard Service urges citizens to choose alternative border crossing points where possible to avoid delays and inconvenience. The agency also reminds that traffic load at border crossings is usually lower on weekdays, which helps reduce waiting times in queues.

### Previous Cases of Restrictions

This is not the first time that repair work at border crossings has led to temporary restrictions. Previously, the Polish side reported a possible suspension of bus processing for entry into Poland through the "Shehyni — Medyka" border crossing — one of the busiest crossings used daily by thousands of passengers and international carriers.

However, Ukraine and Poland subsequently reached an agreement according to which bus processing through this point will continue throughout the summer season. This decision allowed for uninterrupted traffic flow and avoided mass delays.

### What Should Drivers Do?

In light of the current restrictions at the "Mogilev-Podolsky — Otaci" border crossing, drivers are advised to:

- Check current information regarding the operation of border crossings before departure.

- Choose alternative routes and border crossing points where possible.

- Plan trips for weekdays when border traffic is usually lower.

- Monitor official statements from the State Border Guard Service and other competent authorities.

Repair work at border crossings is a necessary measure to ensure the safety and efficiency of infrastructure operations. However, it requires flexibility and readiness for changes in travel schedules from drivers and passengers.
