### New attack on Odesa: scale of consequences

On Tuesday, July 7, Odesa was once again subjected to a rocket attack by Russia. The attack was carried out using a ballistic missile equipped with a cluster warhead. As a result of the strike, six people were injured, and large-scale operations to eliminate the consequences began at the scene.

Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, commented on the situation. According to him, the Russian army once again violated norms of international humanitarian law by striking civilian objects in the region.

### Condition of the injured and damage

According to official data, six people were injured as a result of the shelling. One of them is in critical condition, and three are in moderate condition. All injured are receiving necessary medical assistance.

The strike on the city territory led to fires. The fire engulfed a building on the territory of an industrial enterprise, as well as several vehicles. At the moment, rescue services continue to work on extinguishing fires and clearing debris.

### Context of recent events

This is not the first attack on the region in recent days. On the night of July 6, Russian troops had already struck Odesa, resulting in injuries to a 23-year-old man and damage to residential buildings.

Against the backdrop of the escalating situation in the Odesa region, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the command of the Naval Forces. One of the key topics of the meeting was the strengthening of air defense: the discussion focused on increasing the number of helicopters for more effective combat against Russian drones.
