# Ronaldo as a spectator: Al-Nassr loses to Spanish Almeria, which is owned by the Portuguese star

Cristiano Ronaldo found himself in a unique situation: the Saudi club Al-Nassr, for which the Portuguese star plays, lost a friendly match to Spanish Almeria, where the forward himself is a co-owner.

The friendly match took place in Portugal at the local Football Federation's training center. After a goalless first half, the representative of the Spanish Segunda Division took the initiative and decided the outcome of the match at the beginning of the second half.

### Match progress and goals

At the 51st minute, the score was opened by Daiziro Chirino, and just ten minutes later, Adrian Embarba confidently converted a penalty, setting the final result at 2-0 in favor of the Spaniards.

### Ronaldo in the stands

The main star of Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo, watched the match exclusively from the stands. Notably, the 41-year-old Portuguese is a co-owner of Almeria: in February of this year, he acquired 25% of the shares of the Spanish club.

Ronaldo was not included in the match squad due to an extended vacation. The forward only recently returned to the club after playing for the national team of Portugal at the 2026 World Cup, so the coaching staff gave him extra time to recover.

### Al-Nassr's training camp results

For Al-Nassr, which was taken over by new head coach Ange Postecoglou in the summer, this was already the third defeat in four friendly matches during the summer training camp. Previously, the Saudi team also lost to Benfica B (1-2) and Estrela Amadora (2-4), winning only one match against Merida (2-0).
