## 🎯 Key Points

- Kyiv's Sokol defeated Kremenchuk 6:2 in the season opener.
- Danylo Tyshchenko and Artem Kalsin scored braces.
- Kyiv converted four power-play opportunities.
- This is Kremenchuk's second consecutive defeat at the start of the championship.

Kyiv's Sokol confidently and productively began their performances in the new season of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship, demonstrating powerful attacking potential in the rescheduled Round 1 match. The capital's team left no chance for Kremenchuk away from home, securing a convincing 6:2 victory. This match became another bright episode in the fierce rivalry between the two strongest clubs in the country in recent years, who regularly compete for the main trophies of Ukrainian hockey.

### Match Progress and Key Moments

Events on the ice arena developed rapidly from the very first seconds. The Kyiv team opened the scoring as early as the second minute of the match thanks to an accurate shot by Maksym Zherebko. At the beginning of the second period, the guests' game advantage materialized into new goals: Danylo Tyshchenko and Artem Kalsin brought the score to a crushing 0:3. The hosts tried to turn the tide of the unsuccessfully developing game, and Arkhip Neboyan scored one goal back, but Sokol continued to fully control the situation. Accurate shots by Kalsin, Tyshchenko, and Oleksandr Horlushko cemented the complete dominance of the Kyiv team.

### Tactical Nuances and Execution

The most important factor in Kyiv's triumph was their flawless play in unequal squads. The coaching staff's wards converted four power plays, severely punishing the opponent for penalties. For Kremenchuk, this defeat was their second in a row at the start of the national championship; earlier, the team unexpectedly stumbled in a game against the tournament debutant, the Shershni club. At the same time, Sokol confirmed its status as the main favorite of the season, consolidating its success after the triumph in the Ukrainian Cup final, where they also broke Kremenchuk's resistance.

### Controversial Data

While official match protocols and reports from specialized publications record Sokol's crushing 6:2 victory and confident power-play execution, some analytical reviews and fan social media sparked discussions regarding the fairness of certain penalties that led to the goals. Representatives of Kremenchuk hinted at the controversial nature of some refereeing decisions in the second period, but no official protests were filed with the Directorate of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship, and all match results remain valid.
