On October 12, 2026, Russian forces launched another massive attack on Dnipro and the Dnipro district. As a result of the enemy strike on the infrastructure of the city and its suburb, residential buildings and commercial real estate were damaged, and casualties have been reported.

### Details of the Attack on Dnipro and Suburbs

According to official information from the leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration and the Regional Council, the Epicenter shopping center located in the Dnipro district came under fire. Around 11:40 AM, a powerful fire broke out on one of the floors of the hypermarket. In addition, blast waves shattered windows in nearby multi-story residential buildings.

### Consequences of Shelling and Casualties

The Head of the Dnipropetrovsk RMA confirmed the death of one person as a result of the morning attack. Emergency services immediately started working at the scene, and fire crews are battling the flames that engulfed the retail space. Authorities urge citizens not to ignore air raid alerts.

### Contradictory Data

While official reports from Dnipro state a strike specifically on the suburb and the Epicenter hypermarket, parallel reports in the media space circulate about similar strikes on retail facilities of the same chain in other regions of Ukraine, such as Odesa and Zaporizhzhia, which sometimes creates confusion regarding the geography of the destruction.

### Escalation Context and Night Strikes

It is worth noting that the current attack continues a series of brutal shellings of the region. On the night of October 11, Russian attack drones targeted Dnipro, injuring four people, including two 8-year-old girls, and damaging grocery warehouses and vehicles.
