According to data published by the Financial Times, the Russian side is not demonstrating a readiness for substantive peace negotiations regarding Ukraine. Instead of seeking a compromise, the Kremlin is counting on dragging out the process. According to him, the prevailing opinion in Russia is that the Americans will eventually "hand over" Ukraine. The source emphasized that the Russian side is not hinting at any concessions on its part and constantly repeats the same goals.

Ukrainian officials who participated in peace negotiations told the Financial Times that the trilateral negotiation process mediated by the US is unlikely to resume before the end of summer.
