## 🎯 Key Points

- A drone breached Moldovan airspace and exploded on the morning of September 30.
- The crash occurred near Gîrbovăț village in Anenii Noi district and Bender city.
- There are no casualties; police cordoned off the area and launched sapper checks.
- This is not the first instance of unknown drones falling in Moldova this September.

On the morning of September 30, Moldova's airspace was breached by an unidentified aerial vehicle, which subsequently crashed and detonated near the village of Gîrbovăț in the Anenii Noi district and the city of Bender. The incident has caused widespread resonance and attracted the attention of specialized agencies, as this is far from the first such case over the past month.

### Chronology of Events and Crash Details

According to official data from the General Inspectorate of Police of the Republic of Moldova, the first report of a suspicious object flying at a low altitude was received around 05:40 AM. The drone crossed the border and flew over the city of Bender before crashing outside residential areas near the village of Gîrbovăț, where the explosion occurred. Specialized bomb-squad and investigative units promptly arrived at the scene. According to preliminary information from law enforcement, there were no human casualties or infrastructure damage.

### Contradictory Data

While Ukrainian officials, in particular Lieutenant Andrii Kovalenko, immediately stated that a Russian drone had crashed and exploded in Moldova, local Moldovan agencies and authorities in the initial stages of the investigation often use formulations such as 'unidentified flying object' or 'drone-missile.' Such discrepancies in assessments are explained by the need for detailed technical examinations and official confirmation of the origin of the debris, although similar incidents have been recorded across the country throughout September.

### Context of Regular Airspace Incidents

It is worth noting that the security of Moldova's airspace has recently faced systematic threats. For instance, on September 20, authorities reported the passage and explosion of unidentified objects, and a day earlier, on September 19, several UAVs were discovered in the Ștefan Vodă region. Additionally, on the night of September 18, a powerful explosion thundered near the village of Colonița outside Chișinău, although the Moldovan Ministry of Defense acknowledged at the time the technical impossibility of detecting the small-sized drone due to its high flight speed. Previous episodes, including the September 12 incident, also led to temporary flight restrictions at the capital's airport.

### Security Measures and Official Response

Currently, the drone crash zone in the Anenii Noi district has been completely cordoned off by the police. Experts are conducting a thorough inspection of the area and urging local residents not to approach the debris or touch any suspicious objects under any circumstances. The country's leadership has repeatedly emphasized the growing risks to citizens' safety due to such incidents against the backdrop of the ongoing war in the region, demanding enhanced control over the republic's air borders.
