A powerful strike hit residential buildings in the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv. A Russian unmanned aerial vehicle struck a 25-story residential building located on the left bank of the capital. The incident was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko in his Telegram channel, confirming the impact and the subsequent fire.

The situation at the scene is developing rapidly. According to the city head, emergency services have already been dispatched to eliminate the consequences of the attack. Rescue workers are on site checking the area and extinguishing the fire that arose after the drone strike.

### Tragedy in the residential sector

Particular concern is caused by information about casualties among civilians. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) reported that a child was injured during the attack. Rescue workers extracted a girl from the destroyed building and handed her over to medical personnel. Preliminary data indicates that the child suffered lacerations to the face.

Rescue operations are continuing. All relevant city services are working on site to minimize damage and check the safety of the building.

This incident occurs against the backdrop of regular mass strikes by Russian occupation forces on the capital of Ukraine. On the night of July 8, Kyiv was attacked by ballistic missiles. Explosions occurred even before the official air raid alert was announced, leading to fires in warehouses and buildings.

The consequences of the night shelling were serious: administrative buildings and urban transport, including trams, were damaged. The State Emergency Service (SES) recorded injuries to at least two people. The situation with clearing the rubble remains difficult, and rescue services continue to eliminate the consequences of previous heavy raids, which led to an increase in the number of casualties.
