The evening of May 29 once again became a time of alarm for the Poltava region. Russian drones struck peaceful territories, leaving behind a trail of destruction and human suffering. This is not the first attack on the region, but each time it brings new challenges for the residents.

According to Vitaliy Dyakivnyk, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, several impacts of debris and drone strikes were recorded throughout the evening at various locations in the district. The attacks hit private homes, an outpatient clinic building, outbuildings, vehicles, and power lines.

Fires that erupted after the attack were promptly extinguished by units of the State Emergency Service. However, human casualties were not avoided: two people were injured and received necessary medical assistance.

### A History of Repetition

This attack is just part of a long chain of strikes on the Poltava region. On the night of March 24, Russians launched a combined attack on Ukraine, affecting Poltava and its surroundings. Residential buildings, a hotel, and enterprises were damaged, and fires broke out at the sites of the strikes.

On the night of February 8, drones attacked objects of the Naftogaz group in the Poltava region. Impacts were recorded, equipment was destroyed, and fires broke out at several facilities.

Each such incident reminds us that war knows no borders and spares no corner of the country. The residents of Poltava continue to live under constant threat, but their resilience and ability to recover from attacks are commendable.
