## 🎯 Key Points

- ATB warehouses targeted in the Bucha district of Kyiv region
- Three people injured, one hospitalized
- Firefighting and rescue operations are ongoing at the site
- The retail chain was recently targeted in a major cyberattack

Russian military forces launched a targeted missile and drone strike against the logistics warehouses of Ukraine's largest supermarket chain, ATB. The incident occurred in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region, where the enemy impact severely damaged storage facilities storing significant volumes of consumer goods and food supplies.

### Attack details and company response

The press service of ATB officially confirmed the strike on its warehouse infrastructure in a commentary to mass media. Management emphasized that further details are currently being withheld due to security considerations and to prevent secondary safety risks for the logistics personnel. The company stated that information regarding potential casualties among the workforce is being verified. Representatives expressed hope that all employees managed to reach shelters safely and that no lives were lost.

### Casualties and emergency response

Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, reported that the enemy attack on the storage facilities in the Bucha district injured at least three people. One person was hospitalized, while two others received medical assistance at the scene.Emergency services and firefighting units were immediately deployed to the site. The liquidation of the large-scale fire is currently ongoing with the involvement of all regional operational services.

### Contradictory data

While regional authorities promptly reported three injured individuals resulting from the strike in the Bucha district, ATB corporate communications initially stated they lacked confirmed data regarding worker casualties. Such discrepancies during the initial hours typically occur because large logistics hubs have shifts dispersed across sprawling zones, making immediate accounting difficult.

### Broader context

This kinetic attack compounds recent challenges faced by the retail giant. Just days prior, on October 5, ATB's digital resources were targeted by a major cyberattack. Although the company confirmed the hacking attempt, they assured customers that personal data remained secure.
