## 🎯 Key Points

- A drone strike hit the Northern Bridge in Kyiv on the morning of October 3, 2026
- Two people were injured, one of them hospitalized
- Road surface and trolleybus contact network damaged
- Traffic from the left bank to the right bank temporarily blocked

On the morning of October 3, 2026, Russian forces launched a targeted drone strike against the Northern Bridge in Kyiv. The incident resulted in severe damage to the capital's transport infrastructure, temporary traffic suspension, and civilian injuries. Emergency services promptly worked at the scene to mitigate the aftermath of the morning attack.

### Attack Details and Condition of the Injured

According to official information from Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, two people were injured as a result of the morning strike on the Northern Bridge. One victim received medical assistance directly at the scene, while the second victim was hospitalized and later transferred to outpatient treatment. The explosion occurred unexpectedly during the morning rush hour at a busy transport hub.

### Infrastructure Destruction and Transport Collapse

As a result of the enemy hit, damage to the road surface and trolleybus overhead contact network was recorded, making standard public and private transport movement impossible. Traffic across the bridge from the left bank to the right bank was completely blocked. Drivers and passengers had to urgently seek alternative detour routes via other bridge crossings in the Ukrainian capital.

### Contradictory Data

Serious discrepancies in assessing the scale of destruction emerged between official Ukrainian sources and Russian propaganda resources. While the Ukrainian side reports localized damage to the roadway and contact network with temporary traffic restriction, Russian resources claim the alleged complete destruction of the bridge and a critical loss of the supply crossing. Actual on-site data confirms only a drone hit, road surface damage, and the work of repair crews.

### Eyewitness Reactions and Logistical Consequences

Eyewitnesses told journalists that the explosion occurred literally in front of moving cars, which miraculously avoided a large-scale tragedy with numerous victims among motorists. Experts note that the attack on Kyiv's key transport arteries aims to destabilize logistics within the metropolis and create additional difficulties for citizens.
