Samsung has officially launched a new mid-range smartphone on the European market — the Galaxy A27 5G. The new device immediately attracted attention with technological solutions that were previously rare for devices in this class: a Qualcomm processor, a 120Hz display, and unprecedented software support.

### Paradigm Shift: Snapdragon Instead of Exynos

One of the main changes in the new model is the switch of the computing core. Samsung has abandoned the use of its proprietary Exynos chips in favor of a platform from an American manufacturer. The main engine of the Galaxy A27 5G is the 4-nanometer octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. This solution is designed to ensure higher energy efficiency and stable performance in everyday tasks.

### Display and Ergonomics

The visual aspect of the smartphone is provided by a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution. The screen supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, ensuring smoothness of the interface and multimedia content. At the same time, engineers managed to maintain a compact body: the smartphone is only 7.8 mm thick and weighs about 200 grams. The device also received basic protection against dust and water splashes according to the IP64 standard.

### Memory and Configurations

The smartphone is available in a configuration with 8 GB of RAM. The built-in storage is available in 128 or 256 GB capacities. For users who need more space, microSD card support is provided, allowing data storage to be expanded up to 2 TB.

### Cameras: Balancing Quality and Price

Compared to the previous generation, Samsung engineers made certain compromises in the camera system. The main 50 MP module with optical image stabilization (OIS) and the 2-megapixel macro lens remained at the previous level. However, the resolution of the ultra-wide-angle lens was reduced from 8 MP to 5 MP. Regression also affected the front camera: instead of a 13-megapixel sensor, the Galaxy A27 5G is equipped with a 12 MP sensor.

### Record-Breaking Software Support

The most impressive advantage of the new device is the duration of manufacturer support. The smartphone runs on the latest operating system, Android 16, with the proprietary One UI 8.5 graphical shell right out of the box. Samsung has committed to providing the device with six full OS updates (including Android versions 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22) and six years of regular security patches. This guarantees the device's relevance until 2032.

### Power and Pricing

Autonomy is handled by a 5000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. The model is hitting the market in three body color options: black, blue, and light pink.

The price of the base version of the Galaxy A27 5G with 128 GB storage will be 349 euros, while the modification with 256 GB of memory will cost European buyers 439 euros.
