## 🎯 Key Points

- Sargan 3000 maritime drone shoots down Shahed with onboard turret
- Ukrainian Navy publishes video evidence of successful interception
- Air defense integration on uncrewed surface vessels expands coastal defense capabilities

The Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have demonstrated unique footage of the combat use of advanced weaponry. The published video captures the moment when the Sargan 3000 uncrewed surface vessel successfully destroyed a Shahed-type strike drone using a combat turret installed on board. This operation demonstrates a qualitative leap in the evolution of Ukrainian unmanned systems, which are now capable of effectively fighting not only on the water but also in airspace, protecting coastal zones.

The use of robotic turrets on various platforms is becoming a new trend in the Ukrainian air defense system. Earlier, similar automatic firing points began to be actively deployed to protect the critical infrastructure of major cities, including the capital. According to the country's leadership, more than a dozen such systems have already been installed and are successfully operating in Kiev and its surroundings to counter enemy kamikaze drones in an automated mode.

### Technological Breakthrough in Unmanned Systems

The development and combat deployment of the Sargan 3000 uncrewed vessel bring the Ukrainian defense industry to a new level. The integration of machine gun turrets onto maritime platforms allows solving complex tasks to protect water areas and the sea coast from a wide range of threats. Experts note that equipping drones with air defense assets minimizes risks for personnel and significantly expands the tactical capabilities of the defense forces in the southern direction.

### Effectiveness of Robotic Air Defense Systems

The combat experience of using turrets shows their high effectiveness against air targets, including loitering munitions and enemy jet drones. Despite the relatively small range of machine gun weapons, such systems are indispensable for pinpoint cover of strategic facilities. Thanks to the support of volunteer platforms and fundraising initiatives, the Ukrainian army continues to receive modern robotic systems that prove their effectiveness in real combat conditions.
