# SBU records the crash of a Russian kamikaze drone in the border zone: photos from the scene

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have recorded the crash of a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle of the "Geran-2" type in the border zone. In the footage published by the agency, an operative in camouflage uniform and blue gloves can be seen inspecting the debris on the ground.

The drone apparently was shot down or malfunctioned during flight. The photos clearly show characteristic structural elements: a long wing, fuselage, and engine remnants. The operative is using a smartphone to document details and possibly to transmit data to headquarters.

The SBU logo is also visible in the frame, confirming the official nature of the publication. Such finds regularly appear in the area of responsibility of Ukrainian law enforcement, especially near the border with the Russian Federation. The crash of such devices often indicates the work of air defense systems or navigation failures of the enemy.

Experts note that the analysis of debris allows obtaining valuable information about the tactics of drone use, their level of wear and possible modifications. In this case, it is a typical sample of the "Geran-2", which is actively used by Russian troops to strike Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.

The SBU continues to monitor the airspace and promptly respond to attempts to penetrate enemy UAVs. Such incidents are part of the daily work of special services under martial law.
