The new musical release by popular Ukrainian singer Anna Trincher, the track 'Margarita', has caused a serious stir. The music publication MUZVAR published an investigation claiming that one of the authors of the composition is composer Vladimir Kurto, who continues to work in the Russian show business. The situation was exacerbated by the fact that the publication's editorial office reported attempts of pressure and threats from unidentified individuals after the start of the verification.

### Who is behind the hit?

The MUZVAR investigation began with an analysis of the official credits (list of authors) of the composition. According to the data indicated on the day of release, the lyricist is Svetlana Kris, known for her work with Alena Omargalieva. The co-author of the text is listed as Yulia Piltsa. However, it is the name of the music author — Vladimir Kurto — that sparked the most interest among journalists.

According to open sources, Kurto was born in Donetsk, worked in Kyiv for some time, and then moved to Moscow. The publication notes that the composer continues his activities in the Russian music market, creating compositions for artists such as Dima Bilan and NAZIMA. Previously, he also held the position of head of Grigory Leps' studio. Currently, according to MUZVAR, Kurto lives in Moscow and works on the project '2 Oceans' together with Victoria Talishinskaya.

### Threats to the editorial office and pressure attempts

The MUZVAR investigation escalated into a conflict with unidentified individuals. The editorial office claims that they initially planned to prepare a neutral material and request a comment from the singer's team. However, after the start of the verification, threats began to be received by the publication.

According to MUZVAR representatives, on the evening of July 19, 2026, messages were received from a user with the nickname Bohdan (presumably associated with the Telegram channel ganba_news) demanding the abandonment of the publication. The correspondence featured phrases stating that in the event of the material's release, 'there will be no MUZVAR' and 'there will be no award.' The user also proposed a deal: refraining from publication in exchange for another news hook. The editorial office regarded these actions as an attempt to silence the information.

### Position of Anna Trincher's team

The singer's team reacted promptly to the accusations. In a comment to the media, the artist's representatives stated that the rights to the song were not purchased directly from Vladimir Kurto, but from a music broker — a Ukrainian citizen who bought the composition back in 2021.

"Anna was not acquainted with the song author Vladimir Kurto, had no contact with him, and never collaborated with him," the singer's team emphasized. According to them, information about the composer's ties to the Russian industry only became known after the release of the track. In this regard, the team decided to remove Kurto's name from the song credits to avoid popularizing the activities of a person working in the Russian market.

The artist's representatives also noted that the deal was concluded through an intermediary five years ago, so it was impossible to foresee the future activities of all persons involved in the creation and sale of the track. Today, Trincher's team strives to distance the release as much as possible from any associations with the Russian music market.
