# New Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky: strict deadlines and action plan for all ministries

The Government of Ukraine has begun work on forming a new strategy for the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers. Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky has set clear deadlines for the relevant agencies: within seven days, all ministries must submit their proposals to the Program of Activities and the Plan of Priority Actions.

According to a report by RBC-Ukraine, the preparation of key documents must be completed by August 5. It is on this date that the program is scheduled to be submitted for government consideration. Koretsky emphasized that the new document will not be merely a formality, but a real tool for control. The program will contain specific goals, strict deadlines for their achievement, and, most importantly, measurable results.

### New approach to performance evaluation

The main task of the new program is to become the main criterion for evaluating the work of each ministry and the government as a whole. Moving away from abstract slogans in favor of specific metrics will allow for tracking real progress in various areas. Within a month of approval, the government plans to submit the document to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration and present it to the general public.

The decision to form a new team was made by the Verkhovna Rada on July 16. The candidacy of Serhiy Koretsky was supported by 289 People's Deputies, after which the government of Yulia Sviridenko resigned in full.

### Expert experience in crisis conditions

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained the choice of the new Prime Minister by the need to prepare for winter. A key factor was that Serhiy Koretsky previously headed Naftogas during the period of massive Russian attacks on gas infrastructure. Experience in management during an energy crisis and the restoration of critical infrastructure became the decisive argument in favor of his appointment.
