# Sergey Rebrov returns: former Ukraine national team coach ready for new challenge

Sergey Rebrov, the former head coach of the Ukraine national team, is ready to resume active work on the sidelines. This was announced by his agent Vadim Shabliy in an exclusive interview with Sport RBC.UA. The 52-year-old specialist is considering various options for continuing his career and does not plan to take a creative sabbatical.

### Offers from clubs around the world

According to Shabliy, Rebrov has received offers from clubs in different countries — both from leagues where he has already worked and from new ones. However, none of them have yet become a final decision. "Sergey Stanislavovich is ready to return to active coaching work. We are receiving many offers from clubs in new leagues and those where he worked before. But at the moment, there has been no offer that suits all parties," the agent emphasized.

### The coach's path: from Dynamo to the Ukraine national team

Rebrov's career as an independent coach began in 2014, when he replaced Oleksandr Blokhin as head coach of Kyiv's Dynamo. Over three seasons, he led the team to two Ukrainian championships and Cups, as well as advancing to the Round of 16 of the Champions League — for the first time since 1999. In 2017–2018, Rebrov worked at Saudi Arabian Al-Ahli, where he won silver medals in the local championship.

From 2018 to 2021, the Ukrainian specialist managed Hungarian Ferencváros, winning three Hungarian league titles and leading the team to the group stage of the Champions League. Then came a new Eastern chapter: from 2021 to 2023, Rebrov coached Al-Ain in the UAE, where he won the league title and the League Cup (2022).

### Ukraine national team and Euro 2024

From 2023 to 2026, Rebrov managed the Ukraine national team, which he led to Euro 2024. At the tournament, the team failed to advance past the group stage, which became the reason for his resignation in April of this year.

### New horizons

Previously, Greek media reported on the possible appointment of Rebrov as head coach of one of the local giants. For now, this remains just a rumor, but the interest in his candidacy from European clubs is evident. For the coach himself, this could be an opportunity to return to high-level work and realize new ambitions.
