# Sevastopol allows refueling jerry cans: how to get fuel for generators and new limits

The authorities of Sevastopol have decided to temporarily allow the sale of gasoline in jerry cans. Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev announced this, noting that the measure is necessary to ensure the operation of home generators in conditions of unstable power supply.

### Refueling rules via QR code

Drivers with a valid QR code can take advantage of the opportunity to refuel jerry cans. However, presenting the original vehicle registration certificate (STS) is mandatory: the vehicle number in the document must match the number indicated in the code.

"You can fill part of the fuel into the tank, and the rest into the jerry can," Razvozhayev clarified. This decision aims to eliminate inconveniences faced by residents who were forced to drain gasoline from the tank to run generators.

### Limits and gas station operating hours

From July 15, refueling via QR codes will be available from 09:00 to 21:00. The standard limit for fuel dispensing is 20 liters. However, at four specific gas stations — "Verkhnesadovoye", "Orlinoye", "Tavrida-1", and "Tavrida-2" — it is permitted to receive up to 40 liters.

### Situation with diesel fuel and AI-92

Diesel fuel DT NP will be sold at all gas stations without the need to present QR codes. The dispensing limit for this type of fuel is also set at 40 liters. Before traveling, motorists are advised to check the availability of fuel at specific stations via the online map.

For those who have not received a QR code, the authorities recommended changing the application for AI-92 gasoline. On the morning of July 15, an additional distribution of approximately 2,300 codes specifically for this fuel grade was scheduled.

### Prices and context of restrictions

At the moment, fuel prices in Sevastopol remain high. According to user data, the cost of AI-92 gasoline is 180 rubles, AI-95 is 195 rubles, and diesel fuel ranges from 205 to 245 rubles depending on the brand. Restrictions on the free sale of fuel were introduced at the end of May after attacks on oil refineries, and the QR code system started working in early June.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to consider the issue of subsidizing fuel supplies to Crimea and Sevastopol. The Head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, proposed a subsidy of 85 rubles per liter, but so far, the cost of fuel has not decreased.
