The new season of Ukrainian football began with a resounding victory for the reigning champions. Donetsk's "Shakhtar" demolished "Kudrivka" with a score of 5-1 in the first round match. The final point in the match was made by Cauã Elias himself. In the 92nd minute, he capitalized on a pass from Oleh Ocheretko, setting the final score at 5-1.
