## Key Points

- Starlink connection loss is recorded in Ukraine upon reaching speeds of 161 km/h
- The Ministry of Defense reports no confirmation that restrictions have been lifted
- The Presidential Office previously confirmed that limits on military terminals remain active
- Unit dependency on satellite communications makes restrictions a critical factor

Connection disruptions involving Starlink satellite terminals continue to be recorded in Ukraine when moving at speeds of 161 kilometers per hour and above. Official confirmation that previously imposed restrictions have been lifted has not yet been received, despite earlier reports regarding potential changes in system operations.

### Data from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine

According to sources within the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Defense Forces and specialized department experts continuously monitor the operation of Starlink and Starshield lines. As of the current moment, instances of connection loss upon reaching critical speeds are still observed in practice.

Department insiders emphasize that documentary or technical proof of limit cancellations from the provider or American partners has not yet been recorded. This impacts data transmission stability while in motion, which remains critical for units utilizing terminals on mobile platforms.

### Presidential Office Position and Prior Restrictions

Earlier, Ukrainian Presidential Advisor Dmytro Litvin stated that established restrictions on the operation of the military Starlink segment remain active across the country. These limitations persist despite statements from the American side regarding the complete removal of caps following high-level telephone negotiations.

The Wall Street Journal previously reported that a phone call between US leadership and SpaceX head Elon Musk resulted in a temporary improvement in terminal performance. Ukrainian officials noted a partial recovery in data transmission speeds at the time, though full system functionality appears not to have been fully restored to its previous volume.

### Significance of Satellite Communications for Ukrainian Units

Reliable access to high-speed internet through the satellite constellation remains one of the core elements for coordinating front-line forces. The dependence of modern military hardware, including reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial systems, on Starlink terminals turns any technical restrictions into a critical factor for operational mission execution.

Experts and military analysts note that the vulnerability of communication channels to external regulation highlights the necessity of diversifying command systems. Further developments depend on the provider's technical solutions and the nature of interaction between the Ukrainian agency and American partners.
