# Steam Workshop Gets Long-Awaited Update: Valve Finally Removes the 2011 'Relics'

Steam Workshop users, accustomed to an interface that has remained unchanged for decades, have finally seen some changes. Valve has released a global update that radically changes the approach to searching and viewing user-generated content. The era of "endless lists" and outdated design is over, giving way to a more modern and convenient solution.

The update, which has been in beta testing since April, is now available to everyone. Developers have rethought the page architecture, focusing on visual perception. Now, mods and maps occupy the screen more efficiently, turning the search into an engaging process rather than a tedious scroll.

### Convenience in the Details

One of the most pleasant new features is the quick preview. Previously, to find out exactly what a modification offered, you had to go to a separate page. Now, it is enough to simply hover the cursor over the preview, and a brief description will appear directly in the feed. This saves time and allows you to filter out unnecessary content faster.

Furthermore, Valve has solved one of the community's oldest problems: compatibility with add-ons. The updated filters now include sorting by required DLC. You will no longer waste time studying a mod that won't launch due to a missing expansion. The system will immediately show which add-ons are necessary for the content to work.

If the interface on your computer has not updated yet, check for client updates in the Steam settings. The new design is already actively working on the servers, providing users with more comfortable access to millions of community creations.
