# Storm warning: sharp cooling, thunderstorms and heavy rain expected in Ukraine on July 5

The weather in Ukraine is entering a new phase. After a period of abnormally high temperatures, meteorologists are recording a change in atmospheric processes. On July 5, the country is expected to experience unstable weather conditions characterized by a drop in temperature, precipitation, and stronger winds.

According to the forecast from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, as reported by RBC-Ukraine, variable cloudiness is expected across the entire country on Thursday. However, the calm will not last long: during the day, short-term rain is forecast for the whole country, with the exception of the southern and southeastern regions. In some places, meteorologists warn of the possibility of thunderstorms.

### Situation in Kyiv and the region

The capital of Ukraine is also falling within the zone of influence of the unstable atmospheric front. On July 5, variable cloudiness is expected in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. City residents have been warned about the probability of short-term rain during the daytime. This means that walking around the city will require umbrellas and protection from precipitation.

Meteorologists report that air temperatures will gradually begin to drop and return to comfortable levels.
