# Strike against Lukoil: Ukrainian Defense Forces Hit Refinery in Kstovo and Key Enemy Logistics Hubs

On the night of July 2, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of coordinated strikes against critical infrastructure and military targets of the enemy. The main target of the operation was one of Russia's largest oil refineries — Lukoil-Nizhnekamsknefteorgsintez in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region.

### Attack on an Energy Giant

According to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces, a direct hit and subsequent fire were recorded on the territory of the plant as a result of the attack. Preliminary information indicates that the strike hit the AVT-6 primary oil processing unit. The final assessment of the damage is currently being refined.

The plant in Kstovo is a strategic asset for the Russian economy. Its design capacity is approximately 17 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise specializes in the production of automotive gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, as well as lubricants. A significant portion of this product is used to meet the needs of the Russian Armed Forces.

This is not the first time the Defense Forces have struck this facility. Attacks on the plant were previously recorded in April and May of this year. Powerful explosions on the night of July 2 were clearly heard in the region, confirming the scale of the operation.

### Strikes on Logistics and Command Nodes

In addition to industrial infrastructure, Ukrainian forces struck military targets on occupied territories:

    - **Kamenka, Zaporizhzhia region:** A unit of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles was hit.

    - **Stanytsia Luhanska:** A railway bridge over the Seversky Donets River was destroyed. This object is critical for enemy logistics, as it is used to transport personnel, weapons, and material resources.

    - **Olshana, Kharkiv region:** An enemy command and observation post was hit.

The comprehensive nature of the strikes demonstrates the ability of the Ukrainian Defense Forces to inflict precise damage on both rear infrastructure and direct military nodes on the front line.
