Footage has appeared online showing the aftermath of a massive attack by Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces on objects of the Russian Baltic Fleet. The target was the modern corvette 'Boykiy', which was in the Veleshchinsky dry dock in Kronstadt at the time of the incident.

### Long-range engagement: a strike from 1,100 kilometers

The operation was carried out on June 3, 2026. Operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck the vessel located in Saint Petersburg. The distance from the Ukrainian border to the attack site was approximately 1,100 kilometers. This event took place as part of a large-scale operation in which the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked military facilities in the Leningrad region, including the port of Kronstadt, on the day of the opening of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Satellite imagery confirmed precise hits by the drones. In the published videos, the state of the ship after the strike is clearly visible: the vessel sustained damage to its port side. Russian services attempted to extinguish the fire using fire hoses.

### Target of the attack: Project 20380 corvette

'Boykiy' is a combat ship of Project 20380, built in 2011 and commissioned in 2013. It is part of the 128th Surface Ship Brigade of the Baltic Fleet and serves as a carrier of guided missile armament. At the time of the attack, the ship had been in the dry dock since February 2026 undergoing scheduled repairs.

According to information from the Unmanned Systems Forces, Russian military actively used 'Boykiy' for operations near NATO borders. Additionally, the corvette performed tasks escorting tankers of Russia's so-called 'shadow oil fleet'.

### Consequences for the Russian fleet

The destruction of the corvette while docked in a dry dock demonstrates the ability of Ukrainian forces to deliver precise strikes at significant distances. The incident occurred in close proximity to the fortress city, highlighting the scale of the operation conducted by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the leadership of the Unmanned Systems Forces. The attack affected not only the vessel itself but also the port infrastructure of the occupiers.
